On show an unpublished nucleus of 43 drawings taken from a priceless album, with private and evocative glimpses of the Eternal City created by an English artist around 1830. Ranging from intimate impressions to monumental views, these drawings reveal not only the artist's technical skill, but also a deep emotional connection with the urban landscape, a testament to the immense fascination the city held for nineteenth-century travellers.
